Tree Trimming
Pruning, Crown Cleaning and Crown Reduction
Large or Small, BTS has the educated employees to know just how to trim your trees to make sure they grow to their best form in the healthiest possible manner. Tree trimming is a true art and skill, and it can only be learned with proper education and lots of experience. If a tree is improperly pruned, you can open it up to pests and diseases, which can eventually lead to the decline of your tree.
With a Crown Cleaning, BTS will remove deadwood over an inch in diameter, broken branches, and diseased or objectionable wood. In the case of a Crown Reduction, BTS will perform a uniform reduction of the canopy of your tree by cutting branch ends back to viable laterals. (THIS IS NOT TOPPING)
Tree Trimming FAQs
Tree trimming involves the selective removal of particular parts of a tree, such as limbs, broken branches, buds, or roots.
Tree trimming is important, because it ultimately removes the dead from the tree which helps the tree to grow healthier. It also keeps the tree from becoming a danger in the spring storm where a branch or major limb could fall and create damage to property or even humans.
It is best to trim trees is during late winter when the trees are still in their dormant state. Trimming trees in late winter creates less of a chance for insect infestation and fungal or bacterial infections, and the tree will heal quicker because trees grow so vigorously in early spring.
First, you should always use a licensed, insured and well educated arborist to trim your trees. That being said, price can vary depending on the size of the tree and how much trimming the tree in question may need to become healthier. And always remember, the cheapest price is never the best price when it comes to your tree’s future health. You pay for what you get in the tree industry!
First search for a tree care company that is licensed, insured, well educated with a focus on safety first. Word of mouth can sometimes be the best bet, but you can also look to Angie’s list or reach out to the Tree Care Industry or International Tree xCare industry to find the best service in your area. And again, the cheapest bid is almost always the worst bid when it comes to tree care in any form.
